Home with a Heart is a Christian Rehabilitation Home for men suffering from drug/alcohol abuse. We provide our services at NO CHARGE to any man who has completed a detoxification assessment process, regardless of age, race, creed.
Our eight week program is designed through the teachings of the Holy Bible, and the 12-step principles of AA. We are solely supported through contributions from area churches and organizations. More than 30 area preachers give of their time to come and have daily devotions with the men, to help them develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Home With A Heart is also a tobacco free facility. Since January 1993, we have had the honor of seeing 1800 men come through the doors of our program with over 1250 of them making decisions for Jesus Christ!
Another important aspect of our program is group and work therapy. Twice each week Tommy Duniho from Anderson, SC conducts a group session through the Bible with the men in order for them to better understand themselves and others. Dr Rudy Gray, pastor of Utica Baptist Church in Seneca SC conducts a group on "Building a Christian Marriage and the Rev James E Dyar Pastor of Red Hill Baptist in Pickens SC conducts a weekly group with the men on "Conquering Chemical Dependency". Jim King and Larry Karnes, from Anderson SC, come and have Bible study once a week with the men. WE owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to these men and the many others who give of their time and money to our cause.
The Home is located on 29 acres of land with a 2,000 sq ft home for the director and his family, plus two 3,700 sq. ft. dormitories that hold 20 men. We also have a beautiful 2,800 sq. ft. chapel with a fully equipped commercial kitchen and a sanctuary to have services and classes.
We hold worship services every Sunday evening with supper at 6:00pm and services at 7:00pm, different church group every Sunday. Also have Fish Fry-Gospel Singing every first and third Fridays of each month. Supper at 6:00pm. Singing at 7:00pm. We welcome all to come and join us in fellowship...
All of the facilities here have been made possible by churches and individuals who believe in the work we are doing for God. Our job is to help return those men that suffer from addiction back to their families and society through the power Jesus Christ!
